Legend has it that a Brahmin from this village joined Tirupati as a worshiper and learned tantric magical techniques from a Yogi there during Upasana. Over time, Gurunath’s Ganapati-Vishnu upasanas and the upasanas of the hunter’s son through secret magical judgments became equally influential to Pudumana. After Gurunathan’s death, he returned to his home country and traveled abroad. Years later, these facts were proved by the thought of Devapraschinta in his youth by a Tantrikacharya named Pudumana Ishvaran Namboothiri and then the lost son of Ganesha-Tirupathi-Vettaka resumed upasanas. Pudumana Eswaran Namboothiri worshiped Lord Ganesha at Arapura for 40 years due to the centuries-old tradition of worship and the blessings of his gurus.
